Team Börje member club is launched during Round 21
In conjunction with Round 21, the Borje Salming ALS Foundation launches the member club Team Börje. The launch takes place together with SHL, HockeyAllsvenskan, SDHL and Hockeyettan and will be visible in all venues from the end of November.
For SEK 21 a month, members join and support Börje's desire to stop ALS
“Börje was a great hockey player and fellow man. Börje's only wish was that others would not suffer from ALS. Together we can achieve this goal and support researchers in the fight against ALS,” says Karin Karlström, initiator and founder of the Borje Salming ALS Foundation.
Team Börje's partners
For SEK 21 a month, members join and support Börje's desire to stop ALS. Members will receive offers from Team Börje's partners in events, culture and restaurant visits and there will also be unique material in the form of reports, news and the opportunity to register for the Foundation's events.
During last season's Round 21, the commitment from clubs, players and audiences was huge and in total SEK 471,124 was raised for the Borje Salming ALS Foundation. Money that, along with other donations, will allow the foundation to distribute funds to ALS researchers as early as this year.
“We had a fantastic turnout last year by the public and clubs around Round 21 in honour of Börje and it feels good in heart and soul that we can continue to support the foundation's important work,” says Gabriel Monidelle, CEO of HockeyAllsvenskan.
Cooperation with the leagues
And also the SHL, SDHL and Superettan will include Team Börje during Round 21.
“The work of the clubs and the joint force within our business is tremendous. We are proud that we have the opportunity to use that power in the extremely important work Borje Salming ALS Foundation does,” says Jenny Silfverstrand, CEO of SHL.
“It feels very valuable that for the second year in a row we are bringing together the whole of hockey to jointly raise money for the Borje Salming ALS Foundation. No one can do everything, but together we can do something that can have a bigger impact,” says Angelica Lindeberg, Commercial and Operations Manager at SDHL.
Round 21
Round 21 begins on Sunday, November 26. SHL, HockeyAllsvenskan, SDHL and Hockeyettan will pay attention to the member club Team Börje and the work that takes place in the Borje Salming ALS Foundation throughout the week.
