Borje Salming ALS Foundation establishes a scientific council
The Borje Salming ALS Foundation has set up a Scientific Council, which will support the Foundation with expert assessments of applications before awarding research grants.
“We are proud that such reputable people have chosen to be part of the Foundation's scientific council. They will help us in future selection of research projects for support from the Foundation in the fight against ALS,” says Ulf Hedin, professor of vascular surgery and chief physician at Karolinska Institutet and research coordinator of the Borje Salming ALS Foundation.
The foundation plans to open to receive research applications as early as the first year of operation.
