I have received news that shook my family and me. The signs I received that something was wrong with my body turned out to be ALS. Everything then changed at once. I don't know what the future will be like, but I understand that I will face challenges that are greater than the ones I have been given before.

The Board
Our aim is to find a cure for this terrible disease for all those affected and for their relatives to receive support and help. Healthcare needs to create a system for sufferers, regardless of age, geography or need.
To me, our foundation means a lot. We want to draw attention to ALS and contribute to research to find a cure, as well as support families going through the life crisis that ALS entails.
Being able to help in the work of supporting research and those affected by ALS feels important. I am extremely grateful and honored to be involved in this important work.
It feels important and valuable to contribute to something that makes a difference.
I feel tremendously honored and responsible to be involved in contributing to the foundation's work.
Jag vill vara med och stötta och bidra till stiftelsen för det känns betydelsefullt att göra en insats.
It was painful to see how quickly Börje was broken down by the disease. More research is needed in the area, and for that, initiatives such as the Borje Salming ALS Foundation are needed.
It's absolutely a no-brainer for me to help fight ALS.
This is Börje Salming's own foundation. Therefore, it is extremely honorable to have the opportunity to work in Börje's name to fight ALS.
The foundation has incredible potential and I will work to make it even more well-known outside of hockey and sports.
